We do not collect payment information — InIt CTF is free to enter.

• —Create your account on CTFd (the challenge platform) closer to the event.
• —Send event-related communications — registration confirmation, event updates, and platform access details.
• —Publish a leaderboard and results using your username, not your email.
• —Improve our website and prevent abuse (e.g., rate-limiting registration spam).
• —Contact you regarding sponsor opportunities if you explicitly opt in.

Legal Basis / Consent

By registering, you consent to this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent and request account deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information in these cases:

• —With sponsors, only if you opt in: top-finisher contact details may be shared with event sponsors, but only for participants who explicitly opt in during or after the event. Non-opted-in participants' data is never shared.
• —Service providers: we use third-party infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, CTFd) to run this event. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service.
• —Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HII, our participants, or others.

Data Retention

We retain registration data for as long as needed to run the event, publish results, and maintain historical records of HII's events. You may request deletion of your data after the event concludes (see Section 9).

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including parameterized database queries and restricted administrative access. However, no online system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

Our website may use minimal cookies for essential functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

InIt CTF is intended for participants who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian's awareness before registering. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
