Acceptance of Terms
By registering for InIt CTF or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or use this website.
Eligibility
- —InIt CTF is open to participants of all skill levels, in India and internationally, unless otherwise stated on the event page.
- —Participants must be at least 13 years old. Participants under 18 should have parental awareness before registering.
- —One registration per person. Registering multiple times under different identities to gain an advantage is prohibited.
Registration and Team Rules
- —Registration is open only during the stated registration window and is free of charge.
- —Teams may have a maximum of 4 members, including the team owner.
- —Team owners are responsible for inviting their own members via the provided invite link before the registration deadline.
- —Solo registrants may not convert to a team after registering, and vice versa.
- —HII reserves the right to disqualify duplicate, fraudulent, or bad-faith registrations.
Code of Conduct
By participating, you agree to:
- 01Treat other participants, organizers, and volunteers with respect. Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior will result in removal from the event, including forfeiture of any prizes or certificates.
- 02Not attack, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the CTFd platform, HII's infrastructure, or any systems outside the intended challenge scope.
- 03Not share flags, solutions, or hints with other teams during the event window.
- 04Not use automated scripts to brute-force flag submissions.
- 05Report bugs or unintended vulnerabilities in the platform or challenges to organizers privately — do not exploit them for score.
Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and/or a ban from future HII events, at the organizers' discretion.
Authorized Testing Only
All challenges are hosted on infrastructure specifically built for this purpose. Participants agree to only interact with in-scope challenge targets as instructed. Attempting to access, test, or exploit any system outside the explicitly defined scope — including HII's own website, registration systems, or third-party services — is strictly prohibited and may be reported as unauthorized access under applicable law.
Scoring and Disputes
- —Scoring is determined by the CTFd platform based on challenges solved and, where applicable, time or point decay.
- —In the event of a scoring dispute, HII organizers' decision is final.
- —HII reserves the right to adjust scores, remove challenges, or take other corrective action if a challenge is found to be broken, ambiguous, or solvable through unintended means, before final results are published.
Prizes and Certificates
- —Prize details (if any) will be announced separately and are subject to sponsor confirmation. HII does not guarantee specific prizes until officially announced.
- —Certificates of participation and/or achievement will be issued to eligible participants after the event, based on criteria set by the organizers.
- —Prizes and certificates may be revoked if a participant is later found to have violated the Code of Conduct or these Rules.
Sponsor Content
Sponsor names, logos, or branding may appear on the website, event materials, or certificates as part of sponsorship agreements. Participation in InIt CTF does not constitute endorsement of any sponsor, nor does it obligate participants to engage with sponsor content beyond what's stated in these Terms.
Intellectual Property
- —Challenge content, branding, and website content are the property of HII unless otherwise credited (e.g., to challenge authors, who retain attribution rights per any separate agreement with HII).
- —Participants retain ownership of any writeups, tools, or content they personally create and publish, but grant HII permission to link to or reference such content for promotional purposes (e.g., "community writeups").
Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and event are provided “as is.” HII makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the platform will be free of vulnerabilities. Participants acknowledge that technical issues may occur during a live event and agree that HII is not liable for lost progress, missed submissions, or downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HII, its organizers, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in InIt CTF or use of this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
Changes to These Terms
HII may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as the event and organization grow. Continued use of the website or participation in future events constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
